Financial planners or other Third Parties must provide Police Super with an Authority to Release (ATR), signed and dated by the member concerned, prior to the release of any personal and superannuation details. ATRs are valid for a period no greater than 12 months from the date signed. As a second precautionary measure, on receipt of an ATR, Police Super will also contact the member concerned as to the authenticity of the ATR received prior to the release of any information.
